Key School Earth Day - April 23, 2008

We held our fourth Key School Hillsmere Earth Day Event. This year 40 sixth graders and Key School teachers joined community members Noel Gasparin and Sean Shanahan in picking up trash and litter throughout the park, cleaning out the storm water management swale along the east side of the park, weeding the upper rain garden and adding new plants to the garden. As you can see in the photos, the weather was beautiful and the students were eager and energetic!

Thank you to the Key School for their participation and of their commitment to the community, the South River, the Chesapeake Bay and Mother Nature.
