The HSIA board recently approved new Marina Rules.  The rules state that "Any boat in the marina must be at least 50% owned by one or more Hillsmere residents" and that "A person may have full or part ownership in no more than two boats in the marina but may own more that 50% of only one of them".  In addition, the rules require that "all owners must sign a notarized statement, provided by HSIA, attesting to the percentage of ownership".  In order to implement and enforce these rules we have prepared a Vessel Ownership Affidavit Form.

Who Must Submit The Form?

Boats with more than one owner must submit the form unless all the owners live at the same address and all are on the official tax records for that property.   If any of the owners have an interest in an additional boat in the marina then the form must be submitted and signed by all the owners.
